Regarding Duty Roster of Ticket checking staff

Sub: Duty Roster of Ticket checking staff.

During the checks conducted by Vigilance Directorate, certain issues concerning roster duty of ticket checking staff have come to notice. After examining the issues, the following suggestions have been put forward:-

• Duty roster of ticket checking staff should be adhered to properly.

  • Mutual change should be allowed with the approval of competent authority and a written record in this regard should be maintained.

• While deputing checking staff on specific trains, caution is to be exercised in allotting duty; shuffling of routes and rotation of checking staff is to be exercised. While doing so, complaints regarding duties allotted to specific TTEs and trains can be minimised.

• Duty charts/rosters are to be maintained strictly. Monthly checks at Divisional level are to be ensured for enforcing the above.

2. It is requested that the suggestions given above may be examined and detailed comments inter-alia indicating the present practice being followed along with suggestions for improvement, if any, may be sent to this office at the earliest.
