Sub: Revised procedure for issue of Employee and Pensioner ID Cards online -Reg

Ref: Railway Board's letter No. E(G)2025/Misc/4/ID Card dated 03.07.2025

In accordance with Railway Board's letter cited above, a new format of Identity Card for employees of Indian Railways has been introduced.

An updated version of the ID Card Management System, developed by South Central Railway as decided by the Railway Board, is now available online at https://rly-id.indianrailways.gov.in/RLYID/

Employees and Pensioners are required to submit their details online through the above portal for issue of ID cards.

Please note the following important points:

1. The online system is to be used only by the Employee/Pensioner for generating their own ID card.

2. Family members' details should not be entered for ID card generation.

3. Family members of employees and pensioners will continue to use UMID cards for Medical purposes.

4. Please note that only a soft copy of the employee identity card will be generated. Employees/pensioners are required to print and obtain their own hard copies.

It is advised that the features of the updated ID Card Management System be widely circulated among all employees and pensioners, and that applications be processed accordingly.
