Sub.: Promotions to Group 'B' posts on Indian Railways through 70% Selection -Centralized Computer Based Test (CBT) in all departments having Organized Services for the vacancy cycle 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2026 (including anticipated vacancies upto 30.06.2027).

Ref.: Board's letter of even number dated 15.01.2025.

A number of references have been received from Zonal Railways requesting to stagger the above mentioned Examination citing operational difficulties envisaged in sparing large number of candidates on a single date. The matter has been examined in Board's office and it has been decided to conduct the said CBT (Main Examination) on 04.05.2025 and 18.05.2025 with 50% of the candidates per Department appearing on each date Further the Supplementary Examination shall be conducted tentatively on 01.06.2025 Thereafter, the result shall be communicated by NAIR by 11.07.2025 and final panels prepared by Zonal Railways/PUs latest by 08.08.2025.


2 In view of the above, all Zones / PUs are advised to bifurcate the candidates to appear in the Examination on the said two dates and intimate their details to NAIR within 15 days of the issue of this letter so that centres/logistics can be arranged accordingly
