Sub.: List of items restricted for entry into the examination centres.

Examinations conducted by RRBs have certain stipulations that lead to restrictions imposed on certain items being carried into the examination centres. However, in order not to hurt any religious sentiments, the competent authority has hereby decided to modify the para 7 of instructions contained in the call letter. The para 7 of instructions to candidates may be replaced as:-

Sub: Retention of Railway accommodation at previous place of posting by Railway officers/staff on their deputation to National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL).

Attention is invited to Board’s letter of even No. dated 14.11.2022 vide which Railway officers/staff on their deputation to NHSRCL were permitted to retain their Railway accommodation at previous place of posting up to 11.02.2025. Now, on consideration of a request received from NHSRCL and in exercise of the powers vested in it to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/retention, the Full Board have decided to extend the retention facility for a further period of 02 years beyond 11.02.2025 1.e. up to 11.02.2027, subject to the following conditions:-

Sub: Retention of Railway quarters on transfer to Jammu Division of Northern Railway — reg.

On consideration of a request received from Northern Railway regarding permission for retention of Railway quarters at their previous place of posting by Railway officers/staff posted over Jammu Division of Northern Railway, the full Board in exercise of the powers vested in it to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/retention have decided that Railway officers/staff posted over Jammu Division may be permitted to retain their Railway quarters at the previous place of posting on payment of normal rent for the period of 03 years (i.e. up to March, 2028) from posting; or availability of ample residential facilities in Jammu Division, whichever is earlier.

In terms of Board's letter No. PCIV/90/Imp/3 dated 02.05.1996, the incumbents to the post of Assistant Library & Information Officer were given the revised pay scale of Rs. 2000-3500 (now Level 7) subject to their fulfilling the conditions laid down under Board's letter No. PC-IV/90/Imp/3 dated 12.10.1992. However, as the process of framing of Recruitment Rules for these posts in consultation with UPSC was underway, instructions were issued vide Board's letter No. E(GP)2007/2/5 dated 04.04.2007 (RBE No. 51/2007), to fill these posts on ad-hoc basis through the normal selection process including viva-voce and assessment of record of service, from amongst the Library & Information Assistants in scale of Rs.5500-9000 (now Level 6) with years' regular service in the grade and degree from a recognized University or equivalent and also degree in Library Science from a recognized University or equivalent.

Regarding Restoration of Commuted portion of Pension before 15 years from the date of commutation.

Kind attention is invited to Board’s letter No. F(E)HI/2025/UPS/1 dated 28.03.2025 enclosing circular on PFRDA’s Gazette Notification No, PFRDA 12/01/0001/2023-legal dt.19.03.2025 regarding Operationalization Of Unified Pension Scheme Under National Pension System. As per these instructions, the employee covered under NPS shall have option to opt for UPS under the NPS scheme. The following instruction are issued for implementation.

I. Exercise of option:

(1) The Forms listed as Al, A2, B2 and B6 in Schedule I, of the Notification circulated with the above letter as may be applicable, may be submitted by the eligible employee online through the CRA portal or physically to the Head of Office or DDO.
