Sub: Permission for retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting -reg.
Ref: (i) Board's letter of even No. dated 10.05.2024
(ii) Board's letter No. E(G) 2012 QR 1-15 dated 18.12.2023
Attention is invited to above referred letters, vide which SAG & above officers posted at SECR, SWR, WCR, ECOR, NER, RCF/Kapurthala and all Railway officers/staff posted at ECR, MCF, CLW and RWP/Bela were permitted to retain their Railway accommodation at previous place of posting up to 31.03.2025.
2. Now, on consideration of the requests/demand received from SECR, WCR, ECOR, NER, ECR, MCF, CLW, RCF and RWP/Bela, the Full Board in the exercise of the powers vested in it to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/retention, have decided that SAG & above level officers posted in SECR, WCR, ECOR, NER & RCF/Kapurthala and all officers/staff posted in ECR, MCF, CLW & RWP/Bela may be permitted to retain Railway accommodation at their previous place of posting for a further period of one year beyond 31.03.2025 i.e. up to 31.03.2026 subject to the conditions stipulated in Board's letter dated 01.07.2022.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
