Sub:- Filling up of the posts of Dresser Gr.III/OTA Gr. III PB-1 Rs. 5200-2-20200 + GP Rs. 1900 (Level -2) in the Medical Department – RBE 13/2017
A doubt has arisen as to whether only Hospital Attendants and not Other erstwhile Group ‘D’ categories as mentioned below are eligible to appear in the selection. In terms of provision contained in para 182 of
IREM (Vol Il) all Railway servants employed in the Hospitals like Hospital Attendants, Orderlies, Dispensary Peon Stretcher Bearers, Watchmen, Safaiwalas or Sanitary Cleaners etc. should be eligible for promotion as Dresser and Laboratory Attendants. For this purpose the eligible railway servants should be screened ‘by holding a suitability test to determine whether they are educationally up to the required standard and have the necessary aptitude. The Railway servants considered suitable should be given training as may be necessary which they should successfully complete before they are finally promoted……….
