Sub: Holding of departmental examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode- Accounts Deptt. Reg
Ref: Rly. Bd's letter No. 2025/ACII20/12/e-3493745 dt. 17.06.2025 (RBA No. 19/2025).
Detailed instructions were issued vide Letter No. 2025/ACII20/12/e-3493745 dt. 17.06.2025 (RBA No. 19/2025) for holding written examinations for departmental promotions through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in Accounts Department. Additionally, instructions. have already been issued for nomination of Northern Railway and North Western Railway as Nodal Railway for holding Appendix II and Appendix IV exam respectively in CBT mode.
Further, Railway Board vide letter no 2025/E(RRB)/25/14 dated 21.08.2025 has issued detailed procedural order viz, Role-Responsibility Framework and 'Standard Operating Procedure' for holding the departmental selections in CBT mode. It is now brought out that the same shall be applicable to Accounts Department also for the conduct of departmental examinations.
Nodal Railways in consultation with the nominated RRBs must initiate the action for the conduct of Appendix II and Appendix IV examination accordingly. For other selections/examinations, the concerned individual railway may undertake the necessary action for conduct of examination in CBT mode as per detailed procedure guidelines issued vide letter dtd. 21.08.2025 (referred above) and other instruction issued from time to time.
Further, E(RRB) dte. has also communicated for inclusion of departmental examination of Accounts Department in the contract awarded to Examination Conducting agency (ECA) by the nodal RRB.
It may please be noted that all the communications with respect to conduct of Appendix Il and Appendix IV examinations may be made with the Nodal Railway directly for ensuring smooth communication.
